At Happy Dog Farm, we know that your pets are part of the family, and we make them part of our family while they’re here — whether they come for a day or spend a whole vacation with us.

We are accredited by the PCSA – Pet Care Services Association (formerly ABKA or the American Boarding Kennel Association), which requires participating boarding kennels to demonstrate their adherence to a comprehensive set of operational standards. These standards include over 200 detailed requirements for boarding kennels and were developed over many years by the PCSA, the international trade association for the owners and operators of commercial boarding kennels. The standards reflect the views of kennel operators, veterinarians, pet owners, and humane organizations and thus represent the “state of the art” in animal care and management. Boarding kennels accredited by the PCSA must submit detailed information about their animal care procedures and business policies and submit to an on-site inspection. This program offers pet owners the assurance that accredited facilities have earned the PCSA “stamp of approval” by successfully completing this comprehensive program.

Happy Dog Farm began in 2017 by Julie Sampogna, a leader in the Howard County pet industry with 10+ years of dog daycare and boarding experience. Here at the farm we specialize in older dogs, those with special care needs, or any dog who likes to be pampered just like they are at home. And as always, 100% crate free 100% of the time.

“Charlie is so happy there and he seems to love all the staff as do I. Everyone is so great and happy about greeting the dogs, it’s great!” – Marty Bode

“Ben and I have been coming to Happy Dog for almost 10 years!   It is his “home away from home”.  I can’t imagine anywhere I would rather have him boarding or in day care.” – Sue Larson

“We are very happy with Happy Dog Care. We love that the dogs have so much space to hang out in, and we love that they aren’t crated. We love that there are different ways for them to be entertained. We love that you get to know the dogs each on a more personal level. We love hearing how Colby did during the day.” – Kerry Rose

“You are wonderful!!  Mozart loves you!! When I get his carrier ready he does his ultimate happy dance. Once when I brought him home and let him out of the carrier he took a drink of water and went back inside for 3 hours–I’m sure he was sending the message that he wanted to go back!” – Doralee Simko

“Love the staff, service, attention, video cams…just about everything!  Even love our vet, recommended by Matt when we first moved to the area! We honestly have never had such wonderful pet care!” – Karen Fikes
